UKIM/EORI Commercial Invoice: Windsor Framework

To support compliance with the Windsor Framework for shipments to Northern Ireland, we have introduced new features in Planufac to ensure accurate documentation on commercial invoices. These updates help streamline the process of including required information for cross-border goods movement.

New UKIM / EORI Fields in Contacts Edit Form

  1. UKIM and EORI number fields have been added to the contacts edit form.
  2. Account holders must obtain these details from Northern Ireland customers and input them, as they are mandatory for commercial invoices when sending goods.
  3. Once filled, the customer’s UKIM and EORI numbers will automatically appear on the commercial invoice.

Country of Origin in Misc Settings

  1. A new Country of Origin field has been added in Planufac > Settings > Misc Settings.
  2. This field allows you to select a country to overwrite the Country of Origin specified in the Product Edit form, which remains functional for manufacturing purposes.
  3. The Misc Settings option will take precedence on the commercial invoice, ensuring accurate representation for compliance if selected.

Company UKIM/EORI Number in Footer

  1. Ensure your company’s UKIM/EORI number is included in the commercial invoice footer.
  2. You can add or update this information in Planufac > Settings > Other Settings > Templates.

Total Weight Added

When you view the commercial invoice, we have added a new field called Total Weight. This combines all product weights in the sales order.

How to Access These Features

  1. Navigate to the contacts edit form to input UKIM and EORI numbers for your Northern Ireland customers.
  2. Set the Country of Origin in Planufac > Settings > Misc Settings to overwrite product-level Country of Origin settings on commercial invoice.
  3. Update your company’s UKIM/EORI number in Planufac > Settings > Other Settings > Templates for inclusion in the invoice footer.

Benefits of This Update

These updates ensure that commercial invoices meet Windsor Framework requirements, reducing the risk of delays or compliance issues when shipping to Northern Ireland. They provide a streamlined way to manage and display necessary documentation details.
