Report Overview

The WEEE Report provides a snapshot of imported and exported WEEE items and batteries over a selected date range (adjustable via the date picker). It’s divided into four key sections:

WEEE Imported

This section covers electrical and electronic equipment imported into the system.

  • Category: Types of equipment (e.g., toys, leisure, and sports equipment).
  • Units: Total number of items imported.
  • Weight (KG): Total weight of the imported equipment in kilogrammes.

WEEE Exported

This section details equipment exported from the system.

  • Category: Types of equipment (e.g., toys, leisure, and sports equipment; small household appliances).
  • Units: Total number of items exported.
  • Weight (KG): Total weight of the exported equipment in kilogrammes.

Batteries Imported

This section focusses on batteries imported into the system.

  • Category: Battery types (e.g., Small Battery: Other).
  • Units: Total number of battery units imported.
  • Weight (KG): Total weight of the imported batteries in kilogrammes.

Using the Report

  • Date Range: Use the date picker to select the reporting period.
  • Categories: Review the categories to understand the types of equipment and batteries tracked.
  • Units and Weights: Analyse the total units and weights to ensure compliance with WEEE regulations.

Batteries Imported

  • Battery Type: Focuses on “Small Battery: Other”.
  • Product Details: SKU and product name.
  • Quantity: Total items purchased (rounded to whole numbers).
  • Battery Weight: Total weight of batteries in those items (converted from grams to kilogrammes).

Data Sources

The report pulls data from:

  • Purchase records
  • Product details
  • Battery types
  • Unit conversions
  • Supplier addresses

Filters Applied

To keep the report focused, it uses these filters:

  • Products with a defined battery type.
  • Company ID (Which is your planufac account ID)
  • Battery types with IDs above 15.
  • Excludes country ID 225 (United Kingdom), as the report covers imports from outside the UK.

WEEE Categories (IDs above 15)

  • ID 16: Small Battery: Lead Acid
  • ID 17: Small Battery: Nickel Cadmium
  • ID 18: Small Battery: Other

These categories are assigned during product setup in the product editor.

Entering WEEE Data

https://my.planufac.com/reports/weee.

WEEE weights are added during product creation in the product editor (e.g., Product Example).

  • WEEE Category Weight: Total weight of the product (including battery).
  • WEEE Battery Weight: Weight of the battery alone, excluding other components.

Bulk Excel CSV Import WEEE Sheet Structure Data

The import sheet contains the following columns:

  • sku: The unique product identifier (e.g., TESTSKU).
  • weee_category_id: The WEEE category ID for the product.
  • weee_battery_category_id: The battery category ID.
  • weee_category_weight: The total weight of the product in grammes.
  • weee_battery_weight: The weight of the battery alone in grammes .
  • contains_battery: Indicates if the product contains a battery, 1 = Yes, 0 = No.
