Print pick and pack lists by bin location

Overview

You can print pick lists and pack slips for a specific bin location from the Sales list.

This is designed for warehouses that use multiple bin locations under the same origin. For example, if you filter St Helens orders, you can print picking slips that use the St Helens bin locations you select — not a single default for the whole origin.

When you choose a bin, the document shows quantities to pick or pack from that bin only. Lines that are not in the selected bin do not appear.

Why use it

Situation Benefit
Same origin, several physical bin locations Print the slip for the bin that will actually pick the order
Bulk select a filtered set of orders (e.g. St Helens) Print once for the correct location set
Multi-bin stock setup Slips stay clear — only the chosen bin’s lines

How to enable or disable

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Open the Sales section
  3. Find: Sales - Allow printing of pick and pack slips organised by bin location?
  4. Set to Yes to enable, or No to hide the print options

What appears on the printout

  • Quantities to pick or pack from the selected bin

Note: If a product does not have a bin location assigned for the selected bin (or is not in that bin), it will not appear on the document.

Setup tip: multi-bin locations

Configure multi-bin locations for your sites before relying on this print flow. See the guide: Bin locations for all locations.

Tips

  • Enable the setting first if you do not see Print Pick List By Bin / Print Pack List By Bin on the Sales list.
  • Select all relevant orders in your filter (for example St Helens), then choose the matching bin location when printing.
  • Use Print Pick List By Bin for warehouse picking and Print Pack List By Bin when you need pack slips organised the same way.
  • Origin “default stock bin location” is no longer used to override these prints; choose the bin from the Sales list dropdown when printing by bin.
