Stock Take Cycles

Stock Take Cycles are a feature of Planufac that tells you what products require a stock take. In order to keep on top of your stock taking you should visit the Cycles page frequently.

When a stock take is performed, either through the stock take page or as an adjustment using "Stock Take" as a reason, the date of the stock take is stored against the product.

There are two different methods for using the Stock Take Cycles features:

  • The default method uses settings from the product group (or if overridden at product level, the product settings).
  • The 2nd method uses product classes which allows you to prioritise faster moving/more valuable products within your inventory.

Within the Stock Take Cycles page of Planufac, once a location is selected, you will see all the products which are due (or overdue) a stock take. You can then either download them as a spreadsheet or select them to create a stock take immediately.

The default method

When using the default method, the Stock Cycle Days setting is used to dictate how often a product should have a stock take. In the example below the product will need a stock take every 90 days.

The classes method

These settings can be found under Misc Settings within Planufac

When using this method, the time between stock takes falling due can differ between A, B & C classed products.
