Transferring stock to Amazon FBA locations

Amazon FBA stock locations are virtual locations within Planufac. All of the standard inventory tools work with Amazon virtual locations, however any manual changes made to these locations may be overwritten when Planufac syncs with Amazon.

Planufac will sync all FBA stock on a daily basis, any discrepancies with the Planufac inventory levels will be corrected via stock adjustments to bring the local stock levels in line with Amazon FBA.

Sending stock to FBA

To send stock to Amazon FBA, you need to create a stock transfer. A typical stock transfer will flow as follows:

When the transfer is allocated but not received, the stock will be allocated at the source location and marked as incoming transfer at the destination location.

Allocated at source Location AND Incoming Transfer at destination location

When the transfer is received at the destination location, the allocated stock is removed and the stock becomes available in the destination location.

Because Planufac syncs it's stock levels from Amazon FBA, when you have shipped your transfer to the Amazon FBA warehouse your should also mark it as received. Instead of the stock going into the Amazon location it will be entirely removed from the system. Once Amazon receive the stock and the sync process completes the Planufac stock levels will be adjusted to match the new levels.

Caution: The period between the transfer being marked as received and Amazon actually receiving the physical stock will artificially reduce your overall stock holding. This can create accounting discrepancies if performed close to the end of an accounting period. It's therefore worth marking the transfer as received as close to possible as Amazon adding the stock to the FBA levels.
